The department employs 381 commissioned officers and 39 civilians to enforce the law with the city limits.

 Law Enforcement Support Agency (LESA)
Pierce County’s primary E-9-1-1 Public Safety Answering Point (PSAP) serving over three-quarters-of-a-million citizens and 14 police agencies.
